In 2022, Lenskart partnered with Owndays and took a majority stake in the Japanese-owned eyewear player that has a deep presence in Asia. With this partnership, we have added an additional 400 stores and extended our reach to 13 countries


Job requirements

  1. Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize assembly line processes, including workflow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  2. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications by implementing rigorous quality control measures and conducting regular inspections. Address any quality issues promptly to maintain high levels of product integrity.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of production technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively and safely.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the assembly line, develop action plans, and drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure that all machinery and tools are well-maintained to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
  6. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, and logistics teams to coordinate production schedules, resolve technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of components and materials into the assembly line.
  8. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data, including throughput, cycle times, and defect rates, to identify trends, evaluate performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
