About the role
As part of our International Merchandising and Brand Experience team, you will be responsible for driving the overall merchandising strategy that ensures profitability while building a long-term collaboration with our partners, merchants, and suppliers. You will work closely with the product development, marketing, and sales teams to create and review analysis of merchandise, identify trends and opportunities, and develop plans to maximize sales and profitability.
This role will be based in Singapore reporting to our Head of Merchandising and Brand Experience International.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Develop and implement the company's merchandising strategy, including product assortment, pricing, promotions.
Manage assortment mix in line with category strategy, revenues, and gross margin target as well as inventory levels
Analyze market trends and consumer behaviors to identify new product opportunities and improve existing offerings.
Manage the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring that products meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and contracts to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies that drive traffic and sales.
Analyze sales and product performance data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.
End to end stock management, ensuring availability and management of excess stock.
Who we are looking for
8-10 years of experience in merchandising or product development, preferably in the retail, supply chain or e-commerce industry.
Strong negotiation skills and can arrive at win-win solutions with suppliers and partners.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast paced environments
Experience in buying preferably in a fashion category
Experience in Ecommerce or DTC companies is a plus
