Senior Manager - Controller || Lenskart

Job description

The position involves leading the controllership for the Retail Entity and drive Fiscal & Financial Governance around all critical aspects of Finance Control Function including Accounting, Treasury, AR, AP, FRC and Audit management.

The Position would be responsible for the following deliverables.

1. Strengthen controls and adequate discipline around accounting and control over operating expenses of all company owned stores spread across India and institutionalize process of publishing periodic dashboards to create visibility.

2. Strengthen governance around New Store Roll Out and monitor CWIP for all new store launches to ensure timeline capitalization of stores.

3. Drive financial discipline around capex vendor advances and ensure periodic reconciliation with all capex vendors

4. Ensuring timely accounting and book closure of the retail entity

5. Drive adherence to processes pertaining to timely closure of both statutory & internal audits of the retail entity.

6. Work with cross-functional teams including in resolving financial and revenue related issues.

7. People Management :

  • Build the team, set performance expectations, evaluate performance and guide the team to meet and exceed performance expectations.
  • Motivating and developing a team to nurture talent and grow internal progression.
  • Mentor and coach the team for sustained development.
  • Build a high performance culture.

8. Team Structure :

This position will be duly supported by 3 Key vertical Heads: -

  • Accounting & Control of Store Operating Costs
  • Accounting & Control Rent & Utility Costs
  • Project Capex Accounting & Control

Job requirements

  • A chartered Accountant with 5 – 7 years of experience in a fast paced multi locational Retail Entity in driving retail accounting & control.
  • Strong analytics and technology orientation Strong Analytical skills to be able to comprehend large data sets.
  • Relevant demonstrated leadership experience in managing a hi-performance team with a sound understanding of key business drivers.
  • Strong exposure of driving Financial Controls.
  • Strong people management & Collaboration skills, as dealing with multiple business and zonal heads and other key vertical in the organization is key critical to success of this role.
