As the Business Development General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the overall business development strategy of the company. You will work closely with the executive team to identify new business opportunities and develop plans to grow the business. You will be responsible for managing a team of business development professionals and ensuring that they are meeting their targets and goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for building relationships with key partners and clients to expand the company's reach and drive revenue growth.
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
2. Ensuring store openings for new properties suitable for the company in the catchments identified for respective regions. The whole process of acquiring a new location till the finalization is your sole responsibility of your region and analyzing new locations through market research, industry analysis and partnership exploration.
3. Ensuring that in your region the stores are opened in the right location and it meets the sale projections that were given before approving a property.
4. Maintaining the compliance and legality of the locations.
5. Build and maintain relationships with key partners and clients to increase revenue and drive growth.
6. Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and product, to ensure that business
development efforts are integrated and aligned with overall company objectives.
7. Manage a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to
help them achieve their goals and targets.
8. Create and implement processes and systems to ensure efficient and effective business development operations.
9. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to track and measure business development initiatives and investments.
10. Analyze data and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of business development efforts and identify areas for improvement.
11. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to promote the company's brand and expand its reach.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
● 12+ years of experience in business development, partnership management in retail and real estate industry. Travel is mandatory.
● Understands the market pricing very well and good connection in the market with property estate consultants and mall management.
● Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies that drive revenue growth.
● Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and managing teams of business development professionals.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners and clients.
● Analytical mindset with experience using data and metrics to inform business development decisions.
● Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
● Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
● Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and competing demands.
