Who are we looking for:

This role will play a critical role to drive the commercial processes in the allocated area in a robust way in line with the commercial policy and overseeing and managing the procurement activities related to store development projects, store consumable, Optometry requirements, IT software & Hardware, any SAS products within the organization. This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for the construction and renovation of retail stores. This person will lead a team of procurement professionals, establish vendor relationships, keen negotiator work on long term contract structure and drive cost-saving initiatives.

What will you be responsible for:

  • 1. Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the store development goals and objectives of the company.

    • Collaborate with senior management to define procurement priorities and objectives.

  • 2. Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers for store development projects.

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable pricing and delivery schedules.

  • 3.Team Leadership:
    • Manage and lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

  • 4. Cost Control:
    • Develop and execute strategies to control procurement costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.

    • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • 5. Contract Negotiation:
    • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all contracts.

  • 6. Procurement Processes:
    • Streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.

    • Implement best practices in procurement, including e-procurement tools and systems.

  • 7. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the procurement budget for store development projects.

    • Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and taking corrective action as needed.

  • 8. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.

    • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

  • 9. Reporting:
    • Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Job requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in the field of procurement.
  • CA/ MBA in finance from premier institute.
  • Team management experience is a Must

  • Extremely high on customer obsession

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.

  • Knowledge of store development processes and construction materials is a plus.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
