About the team

Our international businesses are young and hustling, growing at warp speed to cater to larger shares of their respective markets. At present, we have a distribution presence of more than 40 retail stores across Singapore and UAE, and active expansion plans across Asia and the Middle east regions.

Lenskart is a direct to consumer eyewear brand. The company owns manufacturing in China and India, as well as, collaborates with many world class eyewear factories.

We aim to transform the way people see and experience the world by building eyewear experiences for everyone and every purpose. We’re building Lenskart as a fashion destination for eyewear and are passionate about introducing design-led concepts and innovation that can deliver breakthrough eyewear products and experiences.

And to execute that mission, we are building a world class eyewear design studio.

Eyewear design studio intends to give voice to people; reflect their identity; and embrace their cultures and opinions through collections that resonate with our brand values at large. We love solving problems and challenges pertaining to eyewear as a lifestyle accessory with passion and are always striving to DO MORE, BE MORE.

This role can be based either in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing or Bangkok.


What your responsibilities will be

  • Conceptualize eyewear collections based on occasions, trends, problem-solving innovations, archetypes, subcultures and fashion-led aesthetics for all Lenskart product brands.

  • Propose collections with in depth user research keeping ‘people’ at the center of the design thinking process.

  • Conduct product and market research to understand the consumer needs and expectations.

  • Develop thematic boards that include character, mood, colors, features, shapes, materials and details based on concept/theme.

  • Translate concepts into sketches, illustrations and technical drawing with all relevant specifications.

  • Incorporate design feedback from internal teams to ensure the range reflects the goal of the team.

  • Coordinate with the product & merchandising team for sample and final product development.

  • Maintain a design library for all concepts, sketches & technical drawings as per collection/season/categories for all product brands.

  • Maintain all physical samples/chips/hardware for core & trend-setting styles.

Job requirements

Who we are looking for

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in fashion & lifestyle product design / industrial design / CMF design
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Fashion / Product / Accessory design from NIFT, NID & other premier design institutes
  • Excellent communication skills and be a team player
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • Fluent in Chinese is an advantage
  • Good software skills: Rhino, Solidworks, Keyshot Pro, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
