Lenskart is India's biggest and fastest growing eyewear brand, with over 1000+ stores. The brand takes pride in being India's first D2C (Direct to Consumer) company, which designs, creates and sells its products directly to consumers across the country, without any middlemen.

Apart from India, Lenskart has now started operations in South East Asia and Middle East.

Lenskart is a direct to consumer eyewear brand. The company owns manufacturing in China and India, as well as, collaborates with many world class eyewear factories. We aim to transform the way people see and experience the world by building eyewear experiences for everyone and every purpose. We’re building Lenskart as a fashion destination for eyewear and are passionate about introducing design-led concepts and innovation that can deliver breakthrough eyewear products and experiences. And to execute that mission, we are building a world class eyewear design studio.

Eyewear design studio intends to give voice to people; reflect their identity; and embrace their cultures and opinions through collections that resonate with our brand values at large. We love solving problems and challenges pertaining to eyewear as a lifestyle accessory with passion and are always striving to DO MORE, BE MORE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical drawings:
    1. Develop technical drawings for all products developed in-house by the eyewear design team.

    2. Verify and approve all technical drawings developed by our manufacturing vendors and partners.

    3. Ensure all the technical drawings are developed as per the guidelines defined by Lenskart.

  2. Proto-sample review:
    1. Evaluate proto-samples for fit, size specification, material, build/construction quality, color and finish. Check if they are as per the technical specification.

    2. Conduct lab tests for material/finish/feature/construction technique if required for new products.

  3. Digital & physical product library:
    1. Create a 3D digital library of all components and in-house developed eyewear models.

    2. Create a physical library of all components and ordered eyewear models.




Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • 6 - 10 years professional work experience in mechanical design engineering.

  • Proficient in part modeling, modifications, drafting and assembly drawings/

  • Product knowledge of materials used in eyewear: Metal alloys, SS, Beta-Titanium, Acetate and thermoplastics/polymers like TR90, Ultem, Tritan, Nylon, TPE, Rubber, Silicone, etc.

  • Software skills: Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other leading CAD softwares used in the eyewear industry.
