Design is the new superpower for the global brands who aim to disrupt consumer experiences constantly. At Lenskart we are building a world class Design Ecosystem, consisting of design research, design thinking, design strategy and management and multi-disciplinary design skills.

Design Management sits in the Global CX (consumer experience) function and aims to transform the way people see and experience eyewear globally.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading and delivering DESIGN transformation projects
    • New store design projects e.g.
      • For Lenskart with global agencies

      • Exclusive stores for different product brands

    • Leading New uniform design project
      • Developing world class uniform experience for Lenskart store staff - which delivers brand pride

      • Understand staff feedback, benchmark with best practices globally to develop the brief

  • Making the in-store experience for sub-categories (like kids, color lenses, people with special eye care needs) friction-free and intuitive for consumers

  • New product and category launches
    • Working with brand, merchandising and VM teams to design and implement 4-5 new launches in a month

    • Ensuring that retail learnings are shared with the internal design team to make effective creative solutions

    • Ability to assess creatives on both utility and aesthetics

    • Driving flawless execution

  • Ongoing design and creative management
    • understanding the ongoing requirements for new communication/ design in stores and ensuring effective and timely delivery through internal design team

Must have Experience and Skills to succeed in this role

  • Brief and goal articulation and creative assessment capabilities
    • Ability to take inputs from different stakeholders, meet and observe consumers, research on global best practices to define the problem/ opportunity clearly for every project

    • Set clear output goals for (internal/ external) design teams

    • Remarkable assessment and course correction ability on the design output

  • Agency discovery and management
    • Ability to find great agencies for different projects, both within India and globally.

    • Developing comprehensive scope and drive negotiations.

  • Project Management
    • Structured and vigilant approach to managing and delivering projects

    • Flawless project management - with external and internal teams to ensure successful implementation.

    • Foreseeing interconnections in the work of different teams and planning for them beforehand

    • Keen interest to understand the real impact of work you do to build the learnings constantly in the ongoing work

  • Ability to collaborate and leading with a pov

Job requirements

What you will bring to this role

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in design management, retail design or management

  • Min 7 years of experience in retail excellence through delivery of design and creative solutions

  • Strong aesthetic appreciation skills - both spatial and graphic

  • Strong interest in integrating digital experiences seamlessly into retail

  • Passionate about reimagining the future of retail.
