Central Operations Manager - Offline Stores

Location – Head Office, Gurugram

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven and dynamic individual to head up the Lenskart Retail Operations team. It’s a very exciting and challenging role at Head Office and you will be involved in understanding and solving daily operational issues in a high paced and involving environment. This role also involves strategizing and creating plans to ensure that we consistently deliver the best SOPs and standards in the world and we are seen as the leaders in this area. You need to be as strong influencer as it’s a highly cross functional role

You will be the central control of all companywide initiatives ensuring that they are cascaded and implemented throughout all the stores via clear communications and understanding with the stores and Area Managers. You will be a solid process and operations person with a clear understanding of how to make things land in a store environment as well as having the ability of taking on complex operational issues and providing solutions to any bottlenecks.

You will have a good understanding of how technology can be used to provide sharper and quicker implementation and feedback along with creating dashboards which highlight implementation and process deviations

You will need to be able to handle many different changing priorities as we react to our customers’ demands and the changing environment.

  • Plan and coordinate activities that impact stores - currently 1000 stores and growing to over 1500 stores
  • Co-ordinate all communications from across the business that need to be implemented in stores so that the workload is managed on a day to day basis
  • Manage and solve day to day operational issues – understand root causes and make suggestions on improvements
  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery times on projects are met
  • Head up strategic projects to ensure operational excellence is continuously improved
  • Develops relevant dashboards to track implementation and pull data together to help faster decision making
  • Runs weekly store manager connect meetings for consistent messages and ensure priorities for the week are understood
  • Represents retail operations in stores at key stakeholder meetings using their operational experience to guide others to ensure simple and effective delivery
  • Is seen as the “go-to” person for all operational store implementation across the business i.e. categories would use this person to learn how to implement their range change effectively
  • Own the compliance of statutory implementation across stores

Desired Profile Features

  • MBA (Operations Preferable)
  • Min 4 to 5 Years’ experience in a similar retail operations role
  • Project management experience (certifications if any)
  • Additional Lean Six Sigma certifications & data analytics certifications preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to share proven best practices from retail is a must.
  • Experience of leading and making a high performance delivery team
